Chair yoga is not just for seniors! As one who has practiced Yoga for many years, I can personally attest to the physical and mental health benefits. Yoga can release muscle tension and reduce pain, help you sleep better, improve your flexibility, increase your stability and strength, improve your balance, and reduce stress.
Practicing yoga on the floor, however, may not be advisable or even possible for those who have mobility issues or injuries. Chair yoga is a great alternative, offering a way to adapt yoga postures so that more people can benefit from this practice. It’s also beneficial for those who spend long hours at their desks, enabling them to take yoga breaks throughout the day to help prevent pain and stiffness from being immobile for too long.
